The Alai Story

Alai started as a computer science master's thesis project at Aalborg University in collaboration with Aalborg BK. The club had a clear challenge: they had invested in tracking data technology but needed better ways to use this data during matches.


Working with the club's analysts and coaching staff, we developed an AI solution that could analyze defensive vulnerabilities in real-time - something that wasn't possible with traditional analysis methods. The project's practical value quickly drew interest from other professional clubs.


Today, Alai works with multiple clubs in the Danish Superliga, helping them use tracking data effectively during matches. We've turned our academic research into practical tools that solve real problems in professional football.
