One system, built on data we generate ourselves

Alai turns your tracking feed into its own event and phase layer within five seconds, on your club's definitions, then runs a growing suite of tactical analysis on top of it while the match is still being played.

Events & phases

The layer everything else reads

Alai derives its own events and phase segments from the tracking data itself: every player, the whole pitch, the whole match, within five seconds. They follow your club's definitions rather than a provider's, arrive live in your tagging timeline, and carry context no operator could attach mid-match.

Analysis modules

What gets detected

Every module runs frame by frame during the match, and again across matches for opponent preparation. The suite expands with what your club needs.

You are committed in their final third when they win it back. Two of their players stayed upfield against one of yours, and the space behind is measured before the ball is even played into it.

The suite

Running on every match

Rest defence

Defensive transitions monitored continuously, with vulnerabilities ranked by severity: free space, the players exposed, and how long it stayed open.

Missed pass opportunities

The passes that were on and never played, scored against the option actually chosen, and how many defensive lines they would have bypassed.

Corners

Swing type, arrival zone, attacking runs, defensive roles, man-versus-zone scheme, first and second contact, and a dedicated corner xG model.

Throw-ins

Throw-in detection with pitch context, so attacking-third restarts stop being invisible in the data.

High press

Pressing intensity per player, every sequence tracked to won, contained or broken, and the openings the press concedes behind it.

Final-third penetrations

Possession-scoped entries into the final third, counted as single, double or triple entries so repeated territory gains are visible.

Passes and possession

Ball-motion pass detection with possession sequences, so build-up quality is measurable rather than described.

Shots

Shot events with expected-goals context, linked back to the sequence and set piece that created them.

Phases of play

Build-up, create, attacking play and both transitions, plus high, mid and low block. Every event is joined to the phase it happened in.

Event generation

Reads the whole pitch for the whole match and returns events within five seconds on your club's own definitions. It is the layer every other module reads.

API access

Live streams and historical queries so your own developers can build in-house products and dashboards on the same data, under the same security standards.

And what you need next

The suite is not fixed. If your club analyses something we do not cover yet, we build the module with you rather than asking you to work around it.

Live

Control the critical moments

Analysis arrives on the bench while there is still time to change something.

Detected as it happens
Tracking frames stream in at 25 fps and each module analyses continuously. Vulnerabilities, pressing outcomes and set pieces are published to the live view the moment they are finalised.
Ranked, not dumped
Every detection carries a severity and the players involved, so the bench sees the two things worth acting on rather than a feed of everything that moved.
Recurring patterns flagged
The trend detector connects repeated situations within the match, the same gap opening from the same trigger, so a one-off is never mistaken for a pattern.

Auto tagging

Live tags, no one at the keyboard

Detected moments land in your tagging timeline as the match unfolds, already carrying the context an analyst would otherwise have to add by hand. Nobody has to operate it during the game.

  • Tags appear live, with nobody operating anything
  • Works with the video tools your analysts already use
  • Finished matches can be exported on demand
  • Your own naming and definitions are preserved
  • Key moments come with clips already made

Opponent preparation

The Insights Hub

The same modules, asked across many matches: which patterns recur, in which phase, and how often.

Opponent-first, not season-first
Pick the team you play on Saturday and every module re-answers for them: set-piece routines, pressing shape, where they are broken down, and which players create the risk.
Recurrence and phase
A pattern is only useful if it repeats. Every cross-match view carries how often a situation occurs and the phase of play it belongs to.
Scope you control
Last six matches, home or away, one competition. Set the scope once and every module answers within it.

Post-match

Evaluation that is ready before you are

Detection runs during the match, so the review exists at the final whistle.

Immediate module summaries
Each module lands with its own verdict: how many sequences, what the outcomes were, and which moments carry the evidence.
Auto-generated key moments
Clips are produced automatically with context and severity attached, ready to share through the video workflow you already use.
Printable match reports
Reports built from the same detections, benchmarked against your season trends and tuned to your tactical priorities.
